About me and this photo

I’m a thirtysomething fortysomething writer and copyeditor who loves reading, good food, indie films, the beach, and my patio. Oh, and summer. And picnics. And summer picnics.

The photo of the picnic in the header can be found here

  1. I was drawn to your blog recently because I googled for information on Asbury Grove, MA and you had referred to it. Once I arrived, I read quite a bit. I, too, am a copyeditor and appreciate the wit, good writing and photographs compiled here.

I wondered if you would recommend Asbury Grove as a place to buy a seasonal cottage. I Loved that you put it within the same sentence as Martha’s Vineyard!

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,
    Ann

  2. Hi, Ann. Thanks for the compliment! Alas, I don’t know much about Asbury Grove and don’t think I’ve even been there (just read about it). I feel like these communities are charming but kind of mysterious. This town is not on the ocean, but the areas around it are nice: Ipswich, Essex, Gloucester. I don’t think I’d vacation there, but maybe that’s because it’s in my home state. You might love it!

  3. Just read a story. Compliments to the author. My roommate has just been getting into kite boarding, it’s pretty amazing to watch.

  4. Love your blog name and header pic, reminds me of a French film called ‘Summer Hours’ directed by Olivier Assayas. Enjoy your topics and writing. Thanks for setting up a nice place for me to take a quiet stroll.

  5. Thanks for the visit! I absolutely encourage making your own list. I find that it isn’t so much a list of things to do, but a really nice snapshot of where you are at the time of writing. All the same, I am definitely going to have to find my dramatic exit.

SO THERE! (did that cover it?)

  6. Thanks for checking out my blog and commenting on it! Good luck with the ice-cream-making. I hope you try it, because it’s the best discovery I’ve made so far in 2009 :).

Your blog is inspiring me to prioritize the summer picnic. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

  7. Thanks for wandering by…. Indeed it is sad that show is called off the Food Network (lazy guys who dont know market pulse). Thank God for DVDs are available… but the charm of watching it on TV wont be there 🙂

Your blog is lovely… down to earth. Keep it going.
