The New York Times travel section has this great photo feature, Why We Travel, that includes a stellar shot and accompanying narrative. This one, from the summer, depicts The Fairy Chimney Inn in Cappadocia, Turkey, that hints at a magical wonderland. Don’t you want to stay there and hang out on the dusty ledge sipping a lemonade? Wait, we’re in Turkey. To be authentic, we’d be sipping an ayran, a cold, creamy drink made of water, yogurt, and salt; might as well be accurate, even in a fantasy.
